For the Utah Art Market, I wanted to make some smaller paintings as part of a series of hot air balloons.


Here's the first one I've finished:

A pale green blue background had a whole bunch of white dots representing snow. There are green blue clouds in a folk style. In front of the clouds is a green and white striped hot air balloon with Gus his bunting and gold buttons around the balloon’s middle. Hanging by thin pieces of paper that look like rope is a small, brown, handwoven paper basket


This one was made using the help of my Silhouette machine for all the tiny cutting. I drew everything in my iPad first, and then let the Silhouette do the cutting. Then, I painted and pasted everything. I love how it turned out.
