Swan Song

A hand painted swan made to look like white lace with a black beak floats in painted water in shades of blue, behind the swan are water plants including tall stalks of leaves, cattails, and pale pink and bright yellow flowers. Floating in the water are small branches and tiny silver fish

I wanted to capture the feeling of elegance and beauty of a swan with a folksy twist. The swan is painted in lace floating on a lake of blue swirls and whorls. Behind the swan are plants that grow in marshy areas. This piece highlights the grace and beauty of the natural world.
