Child Divine

After working in Special Education for three years. Both in a high school during the school year and a preschool during Extended School Year in the summer.

I gained such a deep love for the kids with whom I worked. I grew so much more in my capacity for compassion and love. I grew in patience. I grew in empathy.

I have some difficult stories, some hilarious stories, and many tender stories. My life was changed by my time in a Life Skills classroom, and I will never forget.

This painting is dedicated to those sweet kids who loved so easily and pushed through so many difficulties. This painting is dedicated to everyone who lives each day with a disability and to those who love and care for them through the fun times and the difficult times and everything in between.
